Emotion Research LAB, finalist at ‘City of the Future’ of Pasion>ie

We are finalists at Pasion>ie program, led by Accenture and IE Business School. Their motto is “passion for innovation and entrepreneurship” and aims to support ideas with great future prospects for closer links between the innovation community and the business sector.

Among the 130 projects submitted to the categories ‘City of the Future’, ‘Commercial distribution of the future’ and ‘Future health’ Emotion Research LAB has been selected at the first one with three interesting projects Aquarenturn, Geoblink and Plactherm, which provide great solutions to challenges that we are already living.

It has valued the experience of Emotion Research LAB as pioneers in Spain in the emotional facial recognition and unique technology proprietary, to analyze the expression and emotional involvement of citizens in the urban environment and apply it to marketing. “Future of brands in the cities necessarily pass because they are able to understand and interpret consumer emotionsand get their attention,” as recently explained our CEO and co-founder, Maria Pocoví, under the Congress of Creative Cities. Not surprisingly, investments in technology of emotional facial recognition grow 30% each year.

Pasion>ie was named one of “100 best Economic Hot News ideas, radiography of Innovation in Spain” in 2011. In these five years of Pasion>ie tour, Clara Jiménez, director of Innovation of Accenture Spain, has received “a greater degree of maturity of projects and a lot more prepared based on knowledge and experience teams. Determined not only to develop a concrete company but to do business. Many of them are serial entrepreneurs who have already accumulated experience of success and failure”.

On May 10, 2016 Investors Day will take place and the 12 finalists will again be evaluated by the Advisory Forum to select three winners, one per category.
